" Unleashing the dogs of war is the final proof and admission of the failure of humanity to reason.

The Corner Office
Those that possess wisdom and a moral compass know why. International timing should determine when. You have shared profound insight and reasoning. It is time to disrupt this massacre of humanity.
Thanks Olivia. There really must be a better way other than blindly following the dogs of war and attempting to repair the psychological damage and cleaning up the horrific mess they leave in shattered minds, bodies and displaced civilian populations. The inflicted cost of warfare goes far beyond damaged Presidential palaces and money. In terms of humanity, none of this is acceptable.
the list of offensive weaponry against one another is quite complete..it demonstrates man’s inhumanity to man..i deplore the mindset which would blindly follow violent reaction to –violence.
peace has had no chance since Lawrence of Arabia tried to reassure and empower middle eastern peoples a century ago.
where do we invariably assume that we know what is best in tribal histories of which we are so poorly informed?
the medical dictum should always apply ” at first DO NO HARM”.
Well said, Nadine. “Do no harm” should be the litmus test for any action taken in this matter. Unfortunately, the minds of those with intent have already been made up–long ago.
The dogs of war really do have to stop. It’s inhumane and sickening… the psychological effects alone are horrific… Thanks for sharing your insights here, Ray. I am sad that this type of post even needs to be written but it does and you are here to speak for many. Thank-you.
Christyb, thank you. As writers we must speak up against the self-destruction of humanity in all of it’s forms. Humans are perhaps the least humane of all species, what does that tell us? Thank you so much for commenting, we must do what we can to stop the carnage. Again, thank YOU. “:)
Ray…well said…as a retired reporter (1991-2000) Kuwait, Arab Times newspaper, followed by a year with USArmy COE building Arafjan Base, I was well aware of the many ‘dirty wars’ that have taken place with the urging of our US government… I continue to follow this ongoing support of our ‘military complex’ so, I would be remiss not to warn that here we are on the verge of WWIII…where is the ‘common sense’ that should prevail to stop this nonsense immediately?…has the word ‘diplomacy’ been shoved under the carpet in the oval room?…should I be surprised?…no…
Betty, welcome to IncomingBytes! Thank you for taking time to comment. I value your perspective and comments particularly, for as an ex reporter you are probably informed a thousand times better than the general population of North America.
“The populace” really no longer know what to believe after the Gulf wars, Iraq, Afghanistan, et al; the current lack of common sense is outrageous, almost surreal. The agenda of the powerful and the military complex have somehow been deemed more important than world peace and the survival of humanity itself, so diplomacy is “not an option” –and more dirty wars are guaranteed.
Why the Arab nations cannot, or will not solve this problem themselves is beyond comprehension. Does humanity need WW III, a proxy war with hundreds of thousands, millions killed? Are these poor people in Syria and environs expendable, without value? It almost seems there is a “plan”.
Why? Do our “leaders” conspire to “encourage” the end times, –the apocalypse- by being foolish, ignorant and willfully devious, ignorant and stubborn, refusing diplomacy?
Perhaps there is a more logical answer. Fanaticism comes to mind. Collective insanity–and no, we shouldn’t not be surprised, fanatic ideology is on the rise, it knows no bounds. Literally…nothing matters whether it be the lives of innocent children, the “creation of a one-world government”, or failing that, annihilation of the human race. Conspiracy-theorists, governments and leadership fools alike ought to love it as everything turns to ashes. Fact is, “common sense’ and logic are entirely absent.
We can only hope that common sense returns to the minds of those involved–and soon.
Again, Betty, thank you for taking the time to comment, and please do visit again. ~R
