Little Row Boats and Bicycle Spokes

(A real Canadian Song, Eh? )

To travel cross our Canada you can start in Newfoundland

You could row across to P.E. I., but that new bridge is so grand

So visit Nova Scotia and go to New Brunswick too

And as you trek through old Quebec remember to say "parlez-vous"!

(Chorus)

Oh, Little Row boats and Bicycle spokes

Can take you across our land

It takes a lot of time you see, you'll come to understand,

The beauty of our Canada can make you laugh or cry

And if you cannot row or bike... it might be better to fly!

(-You can always walk, or fly!)

You'll want to cross our Canada from sea to shining sea

From Old B.C. To the Arctic sea and walking it is free,

On either side of Canada the islands are a sight

And in between are trees and lakes and beaches sandy white

Along that Lake Superior route you'll see the lake, and more

But when you come to all those hills you'll be tired to the core.

Explore a park and visit friends way up in Thunder Bay

And when you see our Terry Fox, you'll know you are half-way...

Oh , Little Row Boats and Bicycle spokes

Can take you across our land

It takes a lot of time you'll see you'll come to understand

The beauty of our Canada can make you laugh or cry

And if you cannot row or bike, you can always walk or fly...

You'll want to keep on moving now, the Rockies are quite far

You'll see tractors and red combines, the farmers have big cars

And way out on the prairie lands, the fields are golden wheat,

And if your bike does get a flat you'll have to use your feet!

So pour some maple syrup on those pancakes Canadians make

You'll never be the same again after eating the bread we bake

And after some beer, (It's six percent here) your mind will be so clear

You'll see why all your happy friends drink doubles at Timmy's all year

Oh, Little Row boats and Bicycle spokes

Can take you across our land

It takes a lot of time you'll see, you'll come to understand,

The grandeur of our Canada can make you laugh or cry

And if you come to visit here, you'll love our bright blue sky.

(Refrain)
