Skyclad

I have a friend that speaks in gentle tones

She is the colour of the burning sun

Skyclad in blue

Her burden, carried winds of the earth

On broken wings of fire

Her tears, her whispers speak of failed miracles

Silent, persisting in my memory

a haunting chase of nothing,

Oblivious to mind shattered

Knowing not when they shall come;

She wants to make them see the Light

A friend that speaks in tones

Silent, desperate notes ring to oblivion,

Tears forever, that's what she said;

Where has she gone?

Is that Incoming I hear?
